The customer returned a product paid with a gift card
Once a customer returned a product paid by a gift card, you may want to refund the gift card.
In order to proceed to gift card refund, you need:
- the gift card number or the gift card code: you can ask this information to your customer or you can look for this information in the transactions history, if you are an administrator or have a financial/marketing account.
Once you found the gift card, you will see the link to refund the gift card :

Click on “Refund an order …”
You will be redirected to a page with all the orders (payments with gift cards) related to this gift card:

Click on “Refund” and choose the amount to refund

By the default, the total amount of the order is proposed but you can choose a lower amount for a partial refund.
In case a complementary payment by bank card was associated to this order, it will automatically refunded.

After the refund, the gift card can be used again for redemption (if balance is > 0).
